Faculty position in Social Sciences (Political Economy, Labour, and Livelihoods)
We seek candidates with advanced training and research experience in quantitative approaches to the study of social phenomena in the Indian context.
The position is open in terms of disciplinary specialisation (such as sociology, political science or economic sociology) as well as thematic interest (such as political economy, labour and livelihood, amongst others). You should be able to develop innovative courses and teach undergraduate social science students in, but not limited to, the following areas:
- Descriptive and Inferential Statistics
- Applied statistics
- Data analysis and visualisation using R/Python/STATA
- Foundational interdisciplinary courses in Social Science
- Agriculture in India
- Labour and Livelihood
- An advanced degree and research experience in the relevant area
- An active research agenda
- Strong commitment to teaching a diverse classroom
- Familiarity with quantitative research methods (preferred)
