Faculty Positions in Teacher Education

We invite applications for faculty positions in Teacher Education for our Integrated Teacher Education Programme (ITEP) in Biology and Mathematics at the Secondary Stage.

The ITEP BScBEd programme offers an integrated pathway leading to a Bachelor of Science and Bachelor of Education degree, focusing on teaching Science and Mathematics in the Secondary Stage. This dual-degree structure ensures that graduates are well-equipped with both in-depth disciplinary knowledge and practical teaching skills.

We are looking for candidates who are aligned with the University’s vision and are enthusiastic about contributing to the design, development, and delivery of an innovative teacher education curriculum. 

Candidates with experience in higher education institutions (particularly in Teacher Education), a background in school teaching, and a strong grounding in subject content, pedagogy, and field practice are preferred.

Candidates must have secured a minimum of 55% aggregate marks throughout their academic career and hold the following qualifications:

  • Undergraduate degree in Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, or Biology (BSc)
  • Postgraduate degree in Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, or Biology (MSc)
  • BEd and MEd degrees (both are mandatory)
  • NET qualification (mandatory)
  • PhD (desirable)
  • Strong communication and writing skills in English
  • Ability to work collaboratively 
  • Proficiency in Hindi and/​or Kannada is desirable
