Faculty position in Disability and Inclusion

We invite applications for faculty position in Disability and Inclusion. 

We seek applications from candidates who can demonstrate experience in accessible design with an understanding of disability and advocacy in the Indian context. You will be developing and teaching courses on accessible design and will also be anchoring the fieldwork and internship component in the disability and inclusion minor programme. 

We seek applicants who identify with the purpose of the University, and are keen to contribute to the design, development, and delivery of courses in our undergraduate programme.

You will be expected to develop innovative courses and instruct undergraduate students in, but not limited to, the following areas: 

  • Accessibility and Inclusive design in physical and virtual spaces 
  • Disability Rights and Advocacy in India
  • Assistive Technologies
  • Disability and Inclusion in the workspace 
  • Critical perspectives on disability
  • Expertise in accessibility and assistive technology 
  • Experience of accessibility advocacy or policy development in disability is desirable. 
  • The capacity for critical and reflective thinking on disability inclusion
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Teaching experience at graduate or postgraduate levels or industry/​social sector experience in accessibility or inclusive design
  • Exposure and training in any Social Science discipline is desirable.
  • A background in disability policy and familiarity with Critical Disability Studies will be considered an added advantage
