Azim Premji University is committed to facilitate students’ physical, social and emotional well-being, and build resilience. The mental health policy has been developed to support students who need assistance on mental health concerns. The policy link is available here.

The University has formulated an anti-discrimination policy, in compliance with the Constitution of India and various legal safeguards put in place to protect the dignity of and provide equal opportunities to those belonging to marginalised groups. 

The University has also constituted an Anti-Discrimination Cell to ensure the implementation of the policy. The policy is enacted to uphold the spirit of the following laws/​​regulations and guidelines:

  • Transgender Persons (Protection of Rights) Act, 2019
  • Scheduled Caste and Schedule Tribe (Prevention of Atrocities) Act, 1989
  • The Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act, 2016
  • The University Grants Commission (Promotion of Equity in Higher Educational Institutions) Regulations, 2012.
