Eligibility and Diversity

Admissions 

Admissions to the ITEP programme will be through the National Common Entrance Test (NCET) 2026, conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) across India as a Computer Based Test (CBT). You need to register for this separately on the National Testing Agency website when the announcements are made. 

Eligibility 

Grade 12 or equivalent. 

List of qualifying exams: 

  • Final exam from the 10+2 system conducted by any recognised central or state board
  • Intermediate or two-year pre-university exam conducted by a recognised board or university
  • Senior Secondary School Exam conducted by NIOS with a minimum of five subjects
  • Any final exam in India or in a foreign country that is recognised as equivalent to the 10+2 system by the Association of Indian Universities (AIU)
  • Higher Secondary Certificate Vocational Examination

Those who have completed the Grade 12 (or equivalent) examination outside India or from a Board not specified above should produce a certificate from the Association of Indian Universities (AIU) to the effect that the examination they have passed is equivalent to the Grade 12 examination. 

Age Eligibility

  • lower age — 17 years 5 months as on 01 Jul, 2026
  • upper age — 21 years as on 31 Jul 2026. In exceptional cases, we may consider applicants above the age of 21. 

Educational criteria: You can apply if you are currently pursuing or have completed Grade 12 or its equivalent from a recognised board in India or abroad (such as ISC, CBSE, State Boards, NIOS, IB, or Cambridge International A levels). You must submit proof of successful completion of Grade 12 or its equivalent at the time of joining. 

If you are an International Baccalaureate (IB) student, you need a minimum of 24 credits and must have passed at least three subjects at Higher Level (HL) and three at Standard Level (SL). 

If you are a Cambridge International A level student, you need to have passed a minimum of three subjects to be eligible for admission.
