Biography
Chetan obtained his MPhil in Clinical Psychology from the National Institute of Mental Health and Neurosciences (NIMHANS), Bengaluru, and is an RCI-registered clinical psychologist. His PhD research at the Department of Liberal Arts, Indian Institute of Technology Hyderabad, Telangana, explored the experiences of young adults with learning disabilities (dyslexia/dyscalculia/dysgraphia) in navigating higher education spaces in urban India, focusing on the structures and processes of providing reasonable accommodations.
Chetan works at the intersections of Psychology, Disability Studies, and Anthropology. His primary interests lie in the areas of neurodiversity, critical psychology, and social determinants of mental health. He is also interested in the pedagogy of Psychology, feminism and psychology, child and adolescent mental health, and psychological assessments. As a neurodivergent researcher, he prefers to use visual art such as ethnographic drawings, single-panel comics, picture books, and zines to connect with the audience beyond academia.
