Faculty Positions in Social Science (Indigenous Studies and Environmental Concerns)

We invite applications for Faculty positions in Social Sciences from candidates having specialised interest in Indigenous Studies and Environmental concerns.

We are interested in candidates who have a specialised interest in indigenous studies and can develop innovative pedagogic tools for multilevel and diverse classrooms. 

  • An advanced degree in relevant Social Science disciplines namely, Sociology, Anthropology, Political Science and Tribal Studies
  • An active research plan
  • An understanding of social movements, environmental justice, alternative knowledge systems, policy debates, and questions of Adivasi rights
  • Should be able to teach courses on indigeneity and belonging, ecology and livelihoods, and modernity and development
  • Candidates with interdisciplinary training in the social sciences are encouraged to apply
