The final course in the biology curriculum will emphasize the integrative nature of modern biology. Students will have the option of choosing from a set of seminar courses. Each course will use a specific taxon to illustrate how different fields such as taxonomy, genomics, physiology, ecology and evolution contribute to our current understanding of biological phenomena associated with that taxon. Another emphasis of this set of courses will be writing in the discipline. Students will be required to write technical responses to various readings that will be discussed in the seminars.
