Student Project Conclave
Student Research
Asking questions that matter

Research is a key component of the student learning experience at Azim Premji University. Across undergraduate and postgraduate programmes, students work closely with faculty members to design and undertake independent research projects.
Students explore topics related to ecology, biodiversity, sustainability, public health, mathematics, and data science, as well as questions of identity, culture, and livelihoods.
Using diverse methodologies like fieldwork and ethnographic inquiry to theoretical and experimental approaches, students investigate issues of academic and social relevance.
Student Research Conclave (SRC)
The SRC offers a platform for all undergraduate students of the university to share their research, learn from one another, and cultivate a spirit of inquiry.
Science Undergraduate Research Conference (SURC)
The SURC is a platform to promote interdisciplinary research among undergraduate science students across the country.
Research stories
Our BSc in Biology students, Saniya K Panchbhaiya and Kaneez Fatima investigated the spread of antimicrobial resistance (AMR) and microbial diversity in wastewater surrounding hospitals and industrial areas in Bhopal as part of their summer project. This was the first such study in Madhya Pradesh.
