Biography
Prakhar’s main focus of study is how scientists make models and how these models represent reality. Currently, he is working on a model of biological organisations that can explain the autonomy and regulatory nature of biological entities. He also works on big data in biology and its epistemological and ethical consequences.
Prior to joining Azim Premji University, Prakhar was a faculty in Philosophy and Critical Reasoning, FLAME University, Pune.
He has a PhD from University of Bristol, United Kingdom (UK), which was awarded in 2022. Prior to that, he completed his MA from University of Bristol, UK, and BTech from Gautam Buddh Technical University (GBTU), Uttar Pradesh.
In his spare time, he likes to read, go hiking, visit wildlife sanctuaries, cook, and spend time with his cats.
