Faculty position in Project Management
We invite applications for faculty position in Project Management for our Postgraduate Programmes in Development.
Project management constitutes a core component of several Postgraduate Programmes in Development offered by the University. Its inclusion is intended to equip students with the practical skills and reflective capacity required to function effectively as development practitioners.
We are looking at development practitioners with demonstrated expertise in project management to teach and mentor students in this area.
- Strong understanding of how projects are designed, planned, implemented, monitored and evaluated in social sector organisations.
- Functional knowledge in financial planning and people management to complement the core project management.
- Prior experience with project/programme level evaluations in the development sector.
- Ability to build a multi-project perspective in students to prepare them for effective middle-management roles.
- Ability to facilitate hands-on learning in a workshop mode.
- Substantial practical experience managing multiple, complex projects within the social sector, and ability to translate this experience into effective, applied learning for students.
