Data Skills Associate – Academic Resource Centre
We invite applications for the role of Data Skills Associate to tutor postgraduate and undergraduate students in quantitative skills.
Azim Premji University, Bhopal started operations in August 2023, offering postgraduate and undergraduate programmes. The first phase of campus construction is complete and the overall 50-acre campus with state-of-the-art academic and residential facilities will be ready over the next few years. We expect to grow to about 4000 students and 500 members over the next few years.
We are expanding our programme offerings and are inviting applications for full time faculty positions. We will offer faculty an enriching and fulfilling institution building experience encompassing inter disciplinary program design, development, and research opportunities, setting up and implementation of key institutional processes, culture building and participation in various institutional bodies.
This is a 2‑year full-time position.
Responsibilities:
As a Data Skills Associate you will be:
- Designing and developing quantitative skills modules of varying levels of competencies by collaborating with the faculty members and the team at the Academic Resource Centre.
- Conducting workshops to tutor students in quantitative research tools such as excel, SPSS, Stata, SAS, etc.
- Creating appropriate content based on the needs of the student community.
- Relevant experience of tutoring quantitative research software in English
- Knowledge and experience in academic writing and publication
- Working knowledge of social sciences
- Proficiency in English and Hindi
- Ability to work in a bilingual academic context is important
- Knowledge of ethical use of AI in academic contexts
