This course will explore the multitudinal ways in which humans engage with nature and their environment, the idea of commons and their governance, and political ecology — the role of gender, caste, power in conservation. The course will also rely on case studies to underscore how a political ecology lens can aid in empowering communities to conserve their natural resources and wildlife.
