Tournaments

Intercollege invitational tournaments were held from 17 – 19 Oct 2025 at Azim Premji University, Bengaluru campus. These helped students from different colleges to interact and build new connections through sports. Additionally, it gave our students an opportunity to gain valuable experience in organising large-scale events and hosting teams from other colleges. The tournaments were held in the following sports:

• Football (men and women)
• Badminton (men and women)
• Kabaddi (men and women)
• Basketball (men and women)
• Cricket (men)
• Table tennis (men)

All the matches were played with great energy and enthusiasm. The players displayed strong teamwork, discipline, and sportsmanship throughout the event. 

Internal events

Following the invitational tournament, the internal sports events of Esprit 2025 were held from 24 – 26 Oct 2025. The three-day event brought together students from all programmes and batches to enjoy, participate, and celebrate sports and teamwork. Like last year, students were divided into six houses for the competitions:

• Mysuru Tigers
• Kaveri Varunas
• Sannati Garudas
• Ashoka Warriors
• Hampi Knight Riders
• Vihara Titans

Day 1: The event began with a cultural performance and fun games like Lagori, Tug of War, and Sack Race. These activities made for a fun and energetic start to Esprit 2025.

Day 2: Main sports events culminated, including Football, Cricket, Handball, Kho-Kho, and Frisbee. Students played with full energy, demonstrating great team spirit. Many students also came to cheer and support their friends.

Day 3: On the final day, different sports continued in the morning and afternoon. In the evening, we had the most popular part of Esprit — the track events, followed by cultural performances.

Winners

From adrenaline-pumping matches to team spirit like never before, Esprit 2025 was indeed a celebration. Hampi Knight Riders won the Esprit 2025 House Trophy.
