Research Fellow — Economics of Health Care, Centre for the Study of the Indian Economy (CSIE)

We invite applications for the role of Research Fellow — Economics of Health Care, Centre for the Study of the Indian Economy (CSIE)

The Centre for the Study of the Indian Economy (CSIE) is an umbrella programme that brings together existing and new initiatives that support research, knowledge dissemination, and advocacy on Indian economic wellbeing. The Centre seeks to generate new forms of economic thinking and theoretical insights. It gathers data to provide granular analysis of Indian economic parameters across diverse geographies. The overall aim is to provide a greater understanding of the ways in which the Indian economy is supporting the larger aims of human development in the country.

One of the key focus areas of the Centre is Welfare and Human Development in India. Assessing how human development — health, nutrition, education, quality of life — is changing across India is one of the central objectives. A detailed analysis of the current state of access to health care and health financing in India is much needed.
