Job Summary: 

 In this role you will be responsible for, 

1. Managing the geography lab: 

• ideation and preparation of relevant Teaching Learning Materials (TLMs) for the lab and workshops
• coordinating with student assistants supporting work related to the functioning of the lab.
• equipping the lab for geography teachers’ training/​workshops and for school children

2. Workshops for geography teachers:

• preparing calendar for geography workshops for teachers of local schools and field locations
• helping in designing and facilitating geography teachers’ training workshops in English, Kannada and/​or Hindi as per the need

3. Geography portal: Coordinating with the respective team(s) and regularly updating the Geography Lab portal 

4. Taking part in proposal writing, literature review, data collection and data analysis for any upcoming research projects

5. Going to the field whenever needed, coordination with partner organizations, documenting the minutes of meetings and events.

6. Setting up exhibitions and organizing the visits of school children, teachers, and educational functionaries

7. Classes and workshops

• Attending relevant classes within the university
• Attending relevant workshops within and outside the university
