Communication Coordinator
We invite applications for the role of Communication Coordinator for the Development Programme.
We are looking for a detail-oriented, multilingual communicator with a strong interest in education and social impact, who combines rigor in language and processes with the ability to create engaging content, manage timelines, and contribute effectively to a collaborative environment.
In this role, you will contribute to the development, editing, and quality assurance of content across Development programme’s communication channels. This role requires strong language expertise, attention to detail, and the ability to independently manage content workflows while collaborating with internal and external stakeholders.
You will be responsible for maintaining a structured content calendar to ensure timely delivery of communication materials and demonstrating consistent accuracy and quality across multilingual content with minimal errors. The role includes analysing existing communication materials within the programme as well as other programmes and identifying gaps, patterns, and best practices, and making recommendations to improve content quality and effectiveness for the audiences.
The role requires managing content creation and editing across multiple languages, coordinating with different teams to gather input and manage review timelines, and maintaining quality standards during peak periods.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Contribute to creation, editing, and proofreading of content in English and ensuring accuracy, clarity, and tonal consistency
- Develop communication materials in different formats for various channels to inform, engage, and build awareness
- Establish and maintain a structured content calendar to plan, track, and deliver communication materials on schedule
- Conduct research on existing Foundation communications and materials from other institutions to inform content strategy and improve quality
- Contribute to developing systems for translation, proofreading, and quality assurance across all communications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Communications, Journalism, English, or a related field (preferred)
- Candidates from other disciplines with strong language proficiency and relevant communications experience are also encouraged to apply
- 3 to 6 years of relevant experience in content creation, editing, or communications, preferably in the development sector, education, or journalism
- Basic editing skills for posters, leaflets, and other communication collaterals; familiarity with voiceover scripting is an advantage
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Canva or equivalent tools, basic Google Analytics, and translation tools (including AI-based tools or Google Translate)
