Thriving at University: Support Structures that Make a Difference

About the session

University life can be exciting, but it also comes with its share of challenges — from adjusting to new academic expectations to finding your space socially and emotionally. At Azim Premji University, we believe that a strong support system can make all the difference.

In this session, we will introduce three key pillars of student support that are designed to ensure every student has the resources and guidance to thrive:

  • Conversations (Student wellbeing): A space to engage with counsellors and peers about mental health, resilience, and personal growth, helping students navigate both academic and personal challenges.
  • Office of Disability Inclusion (ODI): Committed to fostering a barrier-free, inclusive campus by providing academic accommodations, peer support, assistive technology, and collaboration with faculty for inclusive teaching practices.
  • Academic Resource Centre (ARC): Supporting students in strengthening study skills, time management, and executive functioning, while offering resources that enhance learning outcomes and confidence.
