Take an immersive journey into the world of poetry and film appreciation through a series curated by our BA in English programme faculty members to encourage a deeper appreciation of literary forms and storytelling genres.

This workshop aims to cultivate a renewed relationship with cultural idioms and literary forms among high school students (Grade X – XII). A part of this workshop will also focus on the practice of writing. 

Through this workshop, the students will understand the evolution of ghazals— from being sung and recited in Urdu to being a trendy form of poetry written in English. By exploring themes of light and darkness through the form of the ghazal, students will gain a deeper understanding of poetic techniques and cultural influences. The students will also analyse and interpret film themes and narrative techniques.

We aspire to ignite a passion for the art of expression and interpretation. All participants will receive certificates upon completion of the event.
