i wonder… | Relating to Biodiversity through Food

Radha Gopalan in conversation with Vinay Suram on the knowledge and skills students learn from intergenerational collaborations around their local food systems, and more.

I wonder webinar 09 Oct 2024 LN

Can exploring local food systems with their families and communities help children connect Diversity in the Living World’ (Grade VI) and Crop Production and Management’ (Grade VIII) with Mindful Eating’ (Grade VI)? Does the diversity of food on their plates open students to their own role in shaping local biodiversity? What knowledge and skills do students learn from such intergenerational collaborations? How can teachers facilitate such experiences?

To explore these questions, join the live conversation between Radha Gopalan and Vinay Suram in our webinar.

The discussion will be in English.

The discussion will be based on Radha’s article Relating to Biodiversity through Food” from the June 2022 issue of i wonder…. Read it here.
