Ashutosh Bhuradia

Biography

Ashutosh Bhuradia is faculty at the Centre for the Study of the Indian Economy (CSIE) at Azim Premji University, Bengaluru. He completed his PhD in Education Policy and Program Evaluation at Harvard University, where he was a recipient of the Presidential Fellowship and a PhD Scholar at the Stone Programme in Wealth Distribution, Inequality, and Social Policy. 

His research sits at the intersection of education, development, and labour economics. Specifically, he uses experimental and quasi-experimental methods to study higher education, skill development, and labour market outcomes. Before Harvard, Ashutosh worked at the Rural Education Action Program (REAP) at Stanford University, managing large-scale education assessment programmes and field experiments. 

He holds a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from RGPV India, an MA in Creative Writing from San Francisco State University, and an MA in International and Comparative Education from Stanford University. He is originally from Indore, Madhya Pradesh.
