Data Centre

Build an understanding about datasets and uncover hidden patterns through data analysis. We also conduct skill-development workshops.

The data centre team works with students and all members across campuses (Bengaluru, Bhopal, Ranchi), enabling them to build an understanding about datasets and uncovering hidden patterns through data analysis.

We provide an environment for all to explore and learn about different data sets, visualise, and draw out significant insights. Over the years, we have built a robust repository of data and data-driven research resources focusing on socio-economic themes.

The Census India data research workstation at Azim Premji University, Bengaluru campus, is a collaborative initiative by the Office of the Registrar General and Census Commissioner of India and Azim Premji University. We provide access of Census microdata to the researchers.

The workstation is open to all students and researchers from universities, colleges, and research institutions in India.

We conduct skill-development workshops on both quantitative and qualitative analysis, with training on statistical software such as MS Excel, Microsoft Power BI, and NVivo. These include online practice sessions as well as voluntary in-person sessions. The centre also provides walk-in and email-based data query support for research and project work.

The workstation will be open from 9:30 AM‑1 PM and from 2 – 5 PM on all working days of the university.
