“We want the Ranchi campus to be closely connected to the social and developmental needs of the region and contribute to building knowledge and human resources,” said Zulfiquar Haider, Vice Chancellor Designate – Azim Premji University, Ranchi Campus.

According to the bill, presented by education minister Ranoj Pegu, the university’s objectives include providing instruction, teaching, training, and consultancy in higher education, as reported by Kangkan Kalita, in The Times of India.

कैलाश चंद्रा ने बताया कि इटकी में 150 एकड़ जमीन में यूनिवर्सिटी का निर्माण कार्य चल रहा है। जुलाई 2026 में सीबीएसई स्कूल प्रारंभ होने की संभावना है, जहां केजी से 12वीं तक की पढ़ाई होगी। उन्होंने कहा कि इसमें मिड‑डे-मील और स्टेशनरी भी बच्चों को मुफ्त उपलब्ध करायी जाएगी।

The project will also include a university. The tertiary care hospital and medical college will include a philanthropic wing, particularly benefiting marginalised and tribal students through free education, explains Kailash Kandpal, in The Times of India.
 

The 230-bed super-speciality hospital and medical college is being constructed on about 150-acre Azim Premji University campus in Ranchi’s Itki block. 

The event seeks to bring together experiences and learnings from the ground and discuss the health concerns of these communities, emerging challenges, and pathways for improvement.
