Sahariya Adivasis face the risk of double displacement

India’s conservation and development apparatuses continue to produce precarity for some of the most vulnerable social groups in the country, as highlighted by Stuti Singh and Shaurabh Anand in Mongabay.

Stuti Singh is an MA in Development student at Azim Premji University. 

Shaurabh Anand is a faculty member at Azim Premji University. 

The commentary draws from Stuti’s research and fieldwork on the perceptions and attitudes of local communities living around Kuno National Park (including Sahariya Adivasis and Kushwahs) towards cheetahs and other wildlife. The research findings are yet to be formally published.
