Faculty position in Social Science

We invite applications for faculty position in Social Science. 

The Social Science programme offers interdisciplinary courses for undergraduate students on various themes such as power and politics, religion in India and indigeneity and belonging. We seek applicants who identify with the purpose of the University, and are keen to contribute to the design, development and delivery of courses of their interest and expertise across Social Science programme.

We are particularly interested in candidates with advanced degree in Political Science/​Social Science and allied disciplines with specialisation in one of these areas including but not limited to:

  • Power and Politics
  • Religion and secularism
  • Democracy and populism
  • Politics of Indigeneity and Identity 
  • Social Science research methodologies
  • Expertise and experience in at least one of the areas listed above.
  • Ability to teach introductory quantitative and qualitative methodology courses. 
  • Relevant advanced degree in Political Science/​Social Science and allied disciplines.
  • Prior teaching experience is preferable.
  • An active research profile with the ability and interest to teach in diverse classrooms.
