Join us to celebrate the rich cultural and literary tradition of Karnataka.
Smt. Pratibha Nandakumar, Kannada poet, will speak about P. Lankesh – a Kannada writer and journalist of eminence — on Friday, January 24, 2025. In her talk titled ‘A Response towards Lankesh-Ananthamurthy’, Pratibha will shed light on Lankesh’s contribution to Karnataka’s cultural and literary world, and share her association with both U R Ananthamurthy and Lankesh. The talk will be in Kannada.
A snippet of Dr. U. R. Ananthamurthy’s video lecture on P Lankesh will be played, along with rendering of Lankesh’s poem at the event.
Members of Lankesh’s family — Smt. Indira Lankesh, Author and Publisher, and Smt. Kavitha Lankesh, Film Director – will grace the occasion.
The event is part of ‘Samskruti Sambhrama’ programme series, conceived to celebrate the rich cultural and literary traditions of Karnataka.
