Physics Teachers Training Programme (PTTP) 2025
A week-long residential programme aimed at undergraduate physics teachers from across India

The Physics Teachers Training Programme (PTTP) is a week-long residential workshop aimed at undergraduate physics teachers from across India. It is designed to strengthen the teaching and learning of undergraduate physics by focussing on conceptual understanding, problem-solving, and experimentation.
This year’s programme will focus on Electromagnetism and Special Relativity and will emphasise interactive classroom engagement, tutorials, and hands-on activities. The PTTP is inspired by the pedagogical philosophy of Physics Training and Talent Search (PTTS), which combines conceptual rigour with supportive, collaborative teaching environments.
We invite applications from motivated physics faculty teaching undergraduate courses across colleges and universities in India. The number of participants will be capped at 50. Preference will be given to:
- Women educators
- Teachers from Karnataka and neighbouring states
- Intensive classroom discussions
- Hands-on experimental sessions
- Pedagogical conversations and teaching tools
- Residential programme: Accommodation and meals will be provided to all participants.
- Registration fee: INR 300 (payable only after selection)
- Travel reimbursement: Limited reimbursement will be provided (up to INR 4,000 or actual cost, whichever is lower).
