Over the past three years, the Annual Climate Festival has become a celebration of nature and climate action. In 2024, the Mountains of Life festival reached more than 33,000 visitors across nine locations, and this would not have been possible without the energy, commitment, and enthusiasm of volunteers who travelled from different parts of the country to make the festival happen.

Now, as we prepare for the fourth edition of our festival – Coasts and Oceans of Life – we invite you to join us in this inspiring journey!

Scheduled to take place at Azim Premji University, Bengaluru campus between 27 October and 8 November 2025, this year’s festival will celebrate coastal and marine ecosystems through exhibits, installations, performances, and engaging workshops.

Who can apply?

• Individuals between 18 to 30 years of age
• Passionate about climate and environmental issues, especially coasts and oceans
• Comfortable engaging with school and college students, teachers, and visitors
• Fluent in English and/​or Kannada
• Able to commit to a minimum of seven consecutive days on campus during the festival

Roles of the volunteer 

• Guiding visitors through exhibits and installations
• Assisting in workshop logistics and interactive sessions
• Supporting event operations and coordination
• Contributing to the overall festival experience

What we offer?

• An immersive learning experience as part of a climate initiative at a national level
• Accommodation and meals on campus during the period
• An honorarium of INR 500/​day (processed upon successful completion)
• A certificate of appreciation recognising your contribution

Over the course of this festival series — Rivers of Life (2022), Forests of Life (2023), Mountains of Life (2024) — we have worked with over 315 interns and connected with over 60,000 students from across the country. Each year, the festival aids in building a growing community of young changemakers like you, working towards climate awareness and action.
