About the conversation

Several questions draw our attention to the inherent challenges in embedding science and evidence within public health policy and governance. How does scientific evidence translate into strategic programs and policies at local, regional, and global levels of governance? How do the core values of equity and access shape these translations? In doing so, in what ways do institutions and actors negotiate the intersections between science, context, and practice? Let’s Talk Public Health — Conversation 5 aims to learn from such experiences across multiple levels of policy-making to elicit critical lessons and insights for strengthening evidence-informed public health practice.
