Mental health and wellbeing matter to each one of us. It is intricately woven into the fabric of our social lives, influencing our feelings, thoughts, and actions every day. Yet conversations around mental health and wellbeing are often silenced or limited.
This World Mental Health Day, Azim Premji University brings to you an online panel discussion that engages with leading trends of mental health in India and the need for access to mental health support for all.
From our Bengaluru campus, we explore the dynamic landscape of the mental health domain in India with leading mental health practitioners. Some of the topics we will unpack are the mental health discourse in India, stigma as a barrier for people with severe mental health challenges, and the role of peer support workers in bridging the mental health care gap in India.
