The course will provide the students with an integrated and interdisciplinary understanding of Early Childhood Care and Education (ECCE), and its significance for laying the foundation of lifelong development and learning in children.

The course will elucidate the concepts of early childhood years, care and education drawing upon the disciplines of philosophy, history, medicine, cultural studies, developmental psychology, neuroscience and childhood studies. Health, nutrition and education shall be discussed as interrelated aspects in early childhood years.
