Cell and Developmental Biology

Looking at the molecular components of cells.

This course is an opportunity for you to bring together all your knowledge of the content, methodologies and concepts you have studied across biological scales. We will go over the mechanisms by which biomolecules come together to form a living cell, and how cells come together to create a functioning organism. We will go over cell types, sizes and shapes, how cells are the origin of life, and then move on to see how cells interact with their surroundings. Some major themes include an understanding of plant development, the development of animal species, and evolution. We will have interactive lectures, presentations and discussions by all of you on scientific papers.
