Building Experiments and Demonstrations

Is science teaching possible without laboratory work?

What is science teaching without laboratory work? We believe experimentation, whether used for verification, explanation, or exploration, is an essential part of science education at any level.

With this course you’ll travel through the whole cycle of understanding the nature of science and its experimental aspect, to practical considerations in designing school labs, to building the skills necessary for being hands-on with science at this level. A term project on designing a school laboratory activity or a model for demonstration acts as a rigorous but creative pedagogical exercise in resource-limited scenarios and binds these aspects.
