Where climate science meets innovation — from campus weather and plant cycles to India’s evolving climate story.
Automatic Weather Station (AWS)
An Automatic Weather Station (AWS) has been installed on campus for in-situ measurements of various meteorological parameters. The AWS is equipped with sensors to measure key meteorological parameters, including air temperature, humidity, rainfall, atmospheric pressure, solar radiation, and wind parameters (direction and speed).
PhenoCam
The university also has a PhenoCam, a digital camera that captures time-lapse images of foliage, enabling the generation of quantitative measures of plant phenology. Over time, these images create a near-continuous visual record of canopy changes and environmental conditions.
