The development sector has expanded widely in its scope and content. It is now technical, specialised and a proefssional sphere with people from diverse disciplines and domains. In this course, we connect technical competencies with imagination and the vision of a desired future, and locate developing goals within that imagination.
What you will learn
We will help you locate your work in a broad framework of development:
- Gain familiarity with emerging visions of development through an exploraiton of ideas, concepts, especially by locating yourself in this endeavour.
- Grow aware of development measurements, simple analysis and their use in professional engagement.
- Develop an understanding of development domains especially pertaining to sustainability, gender, and development.

Ashok Kumar Sircar
Ashok Sircar has worked for 31 years spanning the corporate sector, development sector, and teaching/​training. He has been extensively involved in development action and studies in India in the domains of programme design, planning and execution, monitoring-evaluation, research and policy advocacy on issues of local governance, land rights and livelihoods.
