Tarun completed his Bachelor’s in Civil Engineering from Rajiv Gandhi Proudyogiki Vishwavidyalaya University, Bhopal. 

In the initial years of his career, he was associated with Non-Banking Financial Companies (NBFC) in the Human Resource department. His primary work was with Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Grameen Kaushalya Yojana (DDU-GKY). He was also engaged with the Risk Intelligence & Control unit (a subsidiary of HDFC Bank Ltd).

He has around five years of teaching, mentoring, and training experience in various institutions. At the University, Tarun is part of the bridge programme that encourages and ensures smooth admission of students from underprivileged environments to various Undergraduate and Postgraduate programmes.
