Biography

In college, Suprotik was drawn to Philosophy as a discipline that asks the most fundamental questions. In his classroom, he tries to inculcate the same kind of curiosity, doubt, and reflection towards everything. He is interested in the field of analytic philosophy, particularly, Epistemology, Philosophy of Language and Philosophy of Mind. He is currently working on the nature of know-how, lying, and forgiveness. Before joining the University, he has held teaching positions at Ashoka University, St. Stephen’s College, and IIIT‑D. In 2023, he completed his PhD from Delhi University on the luminosity (or epistemic transparency) of mental states. Prior to that, he completed his MA and BA in Philosophy from St. Stephen’s College, Delhi. When not reading, writing, or teaching , he enjoys going on long drives, watching movies, listening to music, hiking and cooking.
