Biography
Srabondeya Haldar is a member in the department of History at Azim Premji University. She has completed her bachelor’s degree in history from Shiv Nadar University (Delhi-NCR) and has earned a master’s degree in the Social Sciences from the University of Chicago.
Her research interests lie in the history of empires of nineteenth century South Asia. She is also interested in the intersections of law, empire, as well as meanings and practices of sovereignty.
Beyond her academic pursuits, she enjoys learning languages, trying new recipes, and exploring the world through literature and cinema.
