Saumya is a library and information science professional with over three years of experience working in academic library environments. She works closely with users at the circulation and reference desks and enjoys making library services more approachable and inclusive. She is particularly interested in engaging users through library outreach, orientations, and training sessions. Her primary interest lies in working with physical archives — curating and caring for collections so they remain accessible and useful. She enjoys collaborating on resource discovery and improving access to both digital and physical collections.

She has worked across library functions such as circulation, acquisitions, cataloguing, and reference services, and has supported procurement and classification workflows. Her professional interests include the management of physical archives and improving their discoverability and use, providing reference services. Alongside this, she has experience working with digital repositories, and actively contributes to enhancing access and usability across platforms.

She holds a Master’s degree in Library and Information Science from Kumaun University, Nainital, and has qualified the UGC-NET in Library and Information Science.
