Biography
Satyam is a postgraduate scholar in Fish Genetics and Reproduction with expertise in molecular biology, aquaculture biotechnology, and genetic improvement strategies. His research focuses on reproductive gene expression in fish species, including studies on dietary impacts on gonadal maturation. A UGC-NET qualified academic, he integrates 5+ years of teaching experience in biology and fisheries with hands-on laboratory skills in Real-time PCR, gel electrophoresis, and bioinformatics. Satyam has contributed to publications such as Effect of Dietary L‑tryptophan on Gonadal Maturation in Mystus vittatus and co-authored book chapters on aquaculture genetics. Certified in Stem Cell Science and biotechnology applications, he is passionate about advancing sustainable aquaculture practices and fostering student engagement through innovative pedagogy. His work bridges academia and industry, emphasising ethical practices in fisheries science.
Satyam holds a master’s degree in Fish Genetics and Reproduction from the Central Agricultural University, Imphal, and a bachelor’s in Fisheries Science from Dr Rajendra Prasad Central Agricultural University. Specialising in molecular biology and genetic breeding, he has conducted research on reproductive gene expression in catfish species, published in peer-reviewed journals, and contributed to interdisciplinary projects on integrated farming systems.
