Biography
Sarga T K earned her PhD from the Centre for the Study of Regional Development in Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi. Prior to that she completed MPhil and MA from the same university. In both her MPhil and PhD, she examined a range of issues central to regional development processes.
Before joining the current role, she served as a faculty member in the Department of Geography at Kannur University. She also worked as a policy analyst at the Centre for Budget and Governance Accountability (CBGA), New Delhi.
Sarga’s academic interests focus on understanding regional development through the lens of spatial flows. She has applied geospatial techniques to analyse the structural characteristics of interlinkages. She has also been engaged in studying the regional worker cooperatives in accommodating migrant labour amid rising informalisation.
