Biography

Ophelia is a member of Conversations: Centre for Positive Mental Health and Wellbeing. A Certified Level 1 SEE Learning Facilitator with a Master’s in Clinical Psychology, she brings extensive experience in supporting the mental health, wellbeing and academic journeys of children, adolescents, and young adults.

Her professional trajectory includes a brief tenure as a Psychology Trainer with Teach For India schools, Pune, training undergraduate and post-graduate psychology students in counselling and remediation skills. More recently, she spearheaded an initiative in Tawang, Arunachal Pradesh, training educators and collaborating with educational leaders to implement the SEE Learning curricula into their educational landscape.

Her clinical foundation in Western psychology and psychotherapy provides a trauma-informed lens, which is augmented by her SEE Learning and Cognitively Based Compassion Training (CBCT). This equips her with a resilience-informed perspective, allowing her to employ an eclectic approach in her practice.

Her academic pursuits are centred on nervous system regulation and neuroplasticity in trauma recovery, compassion theory, and secular ethics.

With a keenness to understand evolving psychotherapy trends, she believes that human flourishing is inherently relational, not individualistic.
