Nisha Abdulla

Biography

Nisha Abdulla is theatre practitioner based out of Bengaluru. She is the Artistic Director of Qabila, a theatre group focused on new writing and the dissenting imagination. She is also co-founder of OffStream, an anti-caste collective working on resourcing and building community towards a radically progressive future. Her anti-oppressive arts practice places care, curiosity, and community at the core of the creation process.

As an educator, Nisha uses theatre as a pedagogical tool to teach justice, rights, and belonging. She has worked with learners across social profiles and ages, in both educational institutions and community spaces. Most recently, her stints at institutions have included guest faculty at Azim Premji University and Vidyashilp Academy in Bengaluru, as well as NALSAR University of Law in Hyderabad.
