Biography
Nandan Kumar has a PhD and a Master’s degree in Population Studies both from International Institute for Population Sciences, Mumbai and a Master’s degree in Arts (Geography) from Banaras Hindu University.
He has an interdisciplinary academic and research background and therefore has exposure to a wide array of issues related to public health and human development and measurement methods. As a professional, he has worked with academic and social organizations like Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS), Mumbai, IIT Powai (Mumbai) and Terre des hommes Foundation, Kolkata. He has presented his research papers in various international forums like the Population Association of America (PAA), the Asian Population Forum and Asian Population Association (APA) and Asian Demographic Research Institute (ADRI) and has published research articles with reputed international publishers like SAGE and Springer.
