Biography
Md Firdaus is a library and information science professional with over a decade of experience in academic libraries across premier institutions. He currently works with the Knowledge Resource Centre (KRC) team at the University as part of the Gulbanoo Premji Library, where he supports both students and faculty in research facilitation and e‑resources access.
He previously worked at NTPC School of Business, Noida and Lovely Professional University, Punjab specialising in database training, drafting library policy, budgeting and case teaching material support. Firdaus began his career as an intern at the Indian School of Business, Hyderabad, where he developed a strong grounding in electronic resources and services.
His current research focusses on library anxiety among university students, aiming to improve user experience and engagement. He holds an MLISc from Pondicherry University, has qualified UGC-NET, WB-SET and has submitted his PhD at Mangalayatan University, Aligarh.
Firdaus recently received the Best Paper Award at the G20 Library Summit held at Pondicherry University for his paper on library anxiety among freshers. His personal interests include e‑resources learning and studying user psychology in digital environments.
He engages in single stand-up comedy, mono acting, script writing and enjoys drama as both a performer and writer.
