Biography
Krishna Priya is completing her PhD in Economics from the Indian Institute of Technology Delhi. Her doctoral research focuses on social safety nets for urban India, examining a large-scale public works programme and a public canteen initiative in urban areas of Rajasthan. Broadly, her research interests lie in development economics and social protection.
She has experience in designing and implementing household surveys and conducting fieldwork across diverse settings. During PhD, she was also a Visiting PhD Fellow at UNU-WIDER, Helsinki. Previously, she has worked at the National Human Rights Commission as a Junior Research Consultant. She completed her Masters in Economics from Panjab University, Chandigarh and Bachelors (Honours) in Economics from Lady Shri Ram College, Delhi University, New Delhi.
