Kartikeya holds a PhD in Economics from the University of Maryland, College Park. He also holds a master’s degree in International Affairs from The Fletcher School at Tufts University and a bachelor’s degree in Business Management from University of Delhi. 

Kartikeya’s research interests lie in the domains of development, political economy, institutions and public policy. He specialises in deploying applied microeconometric techniques on spatially disaggregated datasets and using his rich on-field experience in order to collect novel data in the pursuit of answering challenging questions. 

Beyond academic research, he regularly expresses his opinions related to society, economy and politics across various media platforms. 

He is an avid fan of cricket, movies, and enjoys singing. A passionate traveller, he is always up for a good game of trivia!
