Biography

Prior to joining Azim Premji University, Janaki Raman K engaged in research on the production of pigment from Talaromyces atroroseus and its application in the food industry as part of his final year dissertation while pursuing a Master of Science in Food Science and Technology from St. Joseph’s University. 

During his undergraduate studies at the same institution, where he majored in Chemistry, Environmental Science, and Botany, he undertook projects such as investigating the growth of Pisum sativum in relation to rhizobium and vermicompost for a term paper and analysing air pollution in metropolitan cities in India for his undergraduate dissertation.

 Subsequently, Janaki Raman K worked as a research associate at Azim Premji University, focusing on the design and development of laboratory equipment. 

In his personal time, he enjoys reading, cooking, listening to classical music, and traveling
