Sonim Kasar, in Sikkim Express, explores how despite resource competition, rising demand and market interventions among the villages of both ranges, the Tangkhul Naga community living here has retained its rich cultural and traditional practices.

Sonim Kasar is a student intern at Azim Premji University and is pursuing a Master’s in Ecology, Environment and Sustainable Development. Her interests include ecology, wildlife, livelihoods, and indigenous communities. This work was conducted as part of Mountains of Life, a climate change festival being organised by the University.
