About the programme
Azim Premji University in collaboration with Bangalore International Centre presents the third edition of Krishna to Kaveri, a two-day celebration of Karnataka’s cultural confluences, on 7th and 8th November 2026. Winding through the State’s landscapes, Karnataka’s rivers have long carried stories, traditions and cultures, shaping the lives of the communities along their banks. Drawing inspiration from this shared heritage, the festival explores the ways in which Karnataka’s cultural life continues to move, adapt and renew itself.
The festival brings together a diverse programme of performances, conversations, workshops, demonstrations, exhibitions, food experiences and activities for children and families. From classical music and folk traditions to theatre, literature, crafts, textiles, photography, traditional food and contemporary perspectives, the programme offers audiences multiple ways to engage with the cultural richness of Karnataka.
Highlights include the inauguration by Kannada poet B. R. Lakshmana Rao and Dr Purushottama Bilimale, Chairman of the Kannada Development Authority; musical and folk performances; discussions on water, urban ecology and entrepreneurship in the age of AI; workshops on traditional crafts, dance, photography and food; and exhibitions celebrating Karnataka’s weaving and craft traditions. The festival also features children’s reading sessions, creative activities, a quiz and a festival-wide treasure hunt.
The festival is bilingual, with programmes in Kannada and English. All events are free and open to the public. Registration and further information are available on these links.
